andy was a little boy. on his first day at school, he learned three words. i, you, and she. the teacher taught him how to make sentences with these words. the teacher said ,:"i, i am your teacher. she(pointing to a girl),she is your classmate. you, you are my student." after supper, his dad asked, :"what have you learned at school?"
andy said at once: "i, i am your teacher .she (pointing to his mom), she is your classmate. you, you are my student. "his dad got very angry and said, :"i, i am your dad. she(pointing to his mom), she is your mom. you, you are my son." the ne_t morning, the teacher asked andy to make sentences with the three words. "ok" he said: "i,i am your dad. she(pointing to a girl), she is your mom. you, you are my son.

advanced calculation
here"s an interesting mathematical equation that someone sent me the other day:
pick up a calculator and consecutively enter the numbers of your birthday.
add 754.
subtract 753.
add 1.
now, divide this number by yesterday"s date and add 59 to the total.
subtract 59.
add the number of fingers on your right hand.
subtract the number of toes on your left foot.
divide this by any number between one and ten.
is the number you came up with your age? no? dang. oh well. it didn"t work for me either but if it had it would have been pretty cool, wouldn"t it?

five-years-old seems to be an age where a child will rebel against the word "no." i know my son knows what the word means
because, when told "no," he will respond by saying "no." i have no idea where he gets this trait. it must be something he has picked up from school.
i never had that problem when i was his age. i never went against my parents wishes. well, e_cept for that one time when i locked myself to the dining room table and my brother had to come home to release me because my mom couldn"t figure out how to work the
combination lock. oh yes, there was that time when i was told not to play around the house that was being built down the street but i crawled around in the attic, fell through the new sheetrock and my dad had to pay for it. and there was the incident when i painted my name with nail polish on the brick fireplace hearth after e_plicitly being told not to touch the fingernail polish. once, i was told not to play with matches and burned my thumb moments afterwards. then there was the time when i was told not to swim too far out into the ocean but i did anyway. my dad almost drowned while saving my life. so you see, i was a good kid. where does my kid get it from? corsage
my mother in-law once owned and operated a very successful
catering business. after retiring, she still organizes the occasional event for church and civic groups. her service is the kind of thing that is done so well that people don"t even realize all that she has done. many times her efforts go without thanks.
she recently coordinated a major event at her church where close to three hundred people were slated to attend. it was a formal event

hello everyone,it"s really my honor to be here.today, shall we talk about courage.
courage is not only found in the heat of war or the mighty works of brave men and women. courage is the mother taking care of her sick child in the early morning hours. courage is the father who shows up on time everyday at a boring, low-paying, dead-end job to feed and clothe his family.
courage comes in many forms, not only from thoughts and deeds of greatness, but in the routine, everyday art of living.
when life gets you down, when it seems that your world is at an end, take courage and go the ne_t step. you will be amazed at the power and strength you have inside.
just gather up enough courage to take you through this day. you only have to live one day at a time. you do not have to deal with all your troubles at one time. like the scotsman said, "the troubles of tomorrow must wait until this day is done."
yes, courage comes from deep within the heart and flushes away the paralysis created by fear. a song, a story, a poem or a friend could re-ignite the spark of courage and inspire us to take the ne_t step to success.
that’s all,thank you!

my first english teacher
dear friends! do you still remember your first english teacher? you may say:" yes." everyone has his teachers, in my mind, i’ll never forget her---my first english teacher ms. li. without her, i wouldn’t be standing here. she is a young and lovely lady with beautiful eyes. her voice sounds sweet and she speaks english very well. that was the first impression she left on us when she first gave us an english lesson.
in her class, she taught us carefully and patiently. she has a strange way of making her class lively and interesting. she always made opportunities for us to speak english. she gave us many beautiful pictures to talk on them, played games with us and told us many interesting stories. she made us learn from games. we learned english with great fun. after class she helped the students who had trouble in learning english.
little by little, i had interest in english, but english was a new subject to me, i had many difficulties in learning it well. i often felt very confused. even though i wanted to give up learning english. it was ms. li who helped me to find ways to overcome my difficulties. she helped me to practice speaking english everyday. she always encouraged me whenever i lost heart. she helped me to have confidence in myself. she gave me what i needed, courage, confidence, good ways to learn
english and opportunities to speak english in class. so i was grateful for her. maybe i can’t meet her again. the only thing i can give her is my best wishes. i wish my dear teacher happiness, good health and good luck. and i also want to say to her: thank you, ms. li. i love you!
