in august ,2004, as the delegate of chinese teenagers, i participated in the olympic youth camp. from it, i learnt and got a lot.

in athens, i was not only into_icated on its long history and the deep humanity, but also impressed by the citizens" environmental awareness and shocked by the passion of the locals" for environmental protection.

with fewer metropolitan dins can be found in athens, the streets are neat indeed, for you will see no wastes on the road there. moreover, i seldom saw cleaners in athens, which impressed me very strongly. because what this phenomenon reflected is a kind of quality, character and also a sense of responsibility about the environment. which means, keeping the city clean is not only a governmental behavior, but a habit in the daily life of every athenian"s.

i still remember the picture that, an old lady took great trouble to bent over for picking up a piece of newspaper and sent it into a dustbin. when i asked why she did such hard work with her age.: "why not? " she said, just so simple. up to now, this picture still clearly e_ists in my mind for its embodied environmental consciousness and a national spirit.

throughout the days in athens, there were a series of educational activities about environment. in those items, we were working in groups discussing environmental problems of different aspects and also seeking the solutions. in addition, the items consisted of speeches of officers" of local ngos and the children"s paintings e_hibition as well. at the end of the activity, having reached common understanding, each of us has submitted suggestions and measures dealing with the promotion of the implement of sustainable development. i have to say, this series of activities really benefited me a great deal.

therefore, i have thought of beijing, thought of the year2008.

"green olympics" is one of three major ideas of running the 2008 olympic games. the main intension of this creed is to prepare and host olympic games under the guidance of sustainable development. and at the same time, try hard to improve the environmental quality of the capital.

actualy in beijing today. the sandstorm is coming rare and rare, and the greenery area is keeping increasing year by year. no one can deny that these changes are the result of all the beijingers" efforts. it obviously states that through the application and the preparation for 2008, the beijingers" environmental awareness has been strengthened greatly. but as the case stands, we still have a long way to go.

as a middle school student of a new era, we should take part in environmental protection and the implement of sustainable development more widely and e_tensively. indeed, environmental protection should start from dribs and drabs, but it is not enough only to stay on the surface. we have to realize today"s environmental problems more objectively and deeply .and we have to find out the obstruction and the danger we are facing. further more, only by considering the environmental problem as the point of sustainable development and globalization, shall we be able to arouse our consciousness and enthusiasm. i firmly believe that we will make the world a better place.

and now, i have a dream.

i have a dream that one day the earth will be free from contaminations；i have a dream that one day the nature and the human beings will coe_ist harmoniously and naturally; i have a dream that one day the blue sky and the verdure will always surround us; and i have a dream that one day the green will become eternity.

so, friends, let us join our hands and work together, meet in a green beijing, meet in 2008.

尊敬的評委，各位選手，女士們，先生們，大家早上好。

我很榮幸今天能有機會在此與大家共同交流，談一談我對綠色奧運的一些想法。

2004年8月，作為中國的青年代表，我參加了雅典奧運青年營活動。本次雅典之旅著實讓我看到了許多、也學(xué)到了許多。

在雅典，除了陶醉于其悠久的歷史和深厚的人文，我更多地有感于當?shù)厝说沫h(huán)境意識，震撼于他們對環(huán)保的熱忱。

雅典的街道盡管少了大都市的喧囂，但十分整潔，路面上沒有任何廢物。此外，在雅典我很少見到保潔人員，這對我觸動很大。因為這現(xiàn)象所體現(xiàn)的是一種素質(zhì)，一種作為市民的對于環(huán)境的責任感?？梢?，在雅典，環(huán)境的保潔已然不僅是政府行為，而真正成為了每一個雅典人的習慣。

一次我們外出參觀，見一位老婦人吃力地彎腰撿起一張被風吹到腳下的報紙，并將其投入垃圾箱。當我上前詢問這樣做有何理由時，老人的回答是："為什么不呢？"這句話讓我回味至今，這情景也讓我感觸良多。正如觀滴水可識江海，這一平凡邂逅所體現(xiàn)出的環(huán)境意識乃至民族精神著實引人深思。

在我們的青年營活動中始終貫穿著一系列關(guān)于環(huán)保的教育活動?；顒又校械臓I員以小組為單位，就不同層面的環(huán)境問題展開討論，尋求解決辦法，并最終達成共識?；顒又羞€不時安排有當?shù)丨h(huán)境組織官員的演講和孩子們的圖畫作品展?；顒咏Y(jié)束時我們每人還提出了一份關(guān)于實施可持續(xù)發(fā)展的建議和措施，并在營員中展開了交流。這一系列活動讓我受益匪淺。

由此，我想到了北京，想到了2008。

"綠色奧運"是北京舉辦2008年奧運會的三大理念之一。其主要內(nèi)涵是在可持續(xù)發(fā)展思想的指導(dǎo)下籌備和舉辦奧運會，提高首都環(huán)境質(zhì)量。

放眼今天的北京，沙塵天氣已是罕見，綠地面積也在逐年增加。不可否認，這些變化是所有北京人共同努力的結(jié)果。它也說明通過申辦和籌備奧運，北京人的環(huán)境意識已大大增強。然而較之于一些國家，我們還有差距。

我認為作為新時代的中學(xué)生，我們應(yīng)更廣泛、更深入地參加到保護環(huán)境和實施可持續(xù)發(fā)展的綠色行動中。誠然，環(huán)保要從點滴做起，但在我看來僅停留在不使用一次性筷子、撿拾廢棄物的層面是不夠的。作為實現(xiàn)綠色奧運生力軍，我們應(yīng)更客觀、更深入地對當今的環(huán)境問題有所了解，并以全球化及可持續(xù)發(fā)展的角度認識環(huán)境問題及其對我國發(fā)展的阻礙和對人類生存的危害，從而真正喚起我們的主人意識和保護環(huán)境的熱情。而這則需要生態(tài)教育的進一步深化和更多實踐活動的開展。我堅信，通過我們的共同努力，綠色將不再遙遠。

此刻，我有一個夢想。

我夢想有一天，地球?qū)]有污染；

我夢想有一天，人類、自然能和諧共處；

我夢想有一天，藍天碧水能常伴左右；

我夢想有一天，綠色將成為永恒。

today, my speech is "i am the part of the green olympics".

"green olympics" is one of the three themes of beijing 2024 olympic games. therefore the beijing government had made a great effort in order to protect the environment, build more "green project", keep the ecological balance, push the recycling economy, and protect the water resource. but if only the government take the action to realize the green olympics in 2024, its not enough. as a beijing high school student, we should play an active role in the actions aimed at the realization of green olympics. so we should start it from ourselves, our family, our friends and other people around us.

in 2001, in the moscow world trade center, when the former chairman of the international olympic committee, samaranch had said: "beijing, china!" as a beijing citizen, as a chinese, i had a great joy for my city, for my home country from the bottom of my heart! but after the e_citement that beijing had been succeed in the race to host the olympic game in 2024. i started to worry about the dusty air, the sandstorm, the polluted rivers and lakes; the streets without any green and whether we could successfully host the olympic games in 2024.

four years later, today, we can see 229 day blue sky in one year, we can hardly catch a glimpse of the sandstorm, groups of wild duck comes back to shishahai lake in the spring, and all the streets are dressed in green. all these make me deeply believe that beijing will surely succeed in 2024! and all these achievements are not only the result that made by the beijing government, but also by the 14 millions beijing citizens. as one of the 14 millions normal citizens, i am also adding my contribution to our green olympic!

i used to have a habit, which is to take two longtime showers every day. it was a big waste of water. one day, i saw a piece of news in beijing daily that about the lack of the beijing water resource. its said every year beijing use up about 3.7 billions cubic meter of water. but miyun reservoir only contains 0.77 billions cubic meter of water, and guanting reservoir only contains 0.19 billion cubic meter of water. this shows we are really short of water now! after reading this news, i start to change my habit, and only take one quick shower each day. i have calculated that if everyone economizes one cubic meter of water during they are taking the shower in a month; the beijing citizens will economize 14 million cubic meter of water in only one month! in 2004, as the beijing irrigation apartment reported that since 2001 beijing has succeeded in the application of hosting the olympic game in 2024. beijing government had started 26 programs in order to economize the water resource. after 3 years doing this, these programs have saved 0.437 billions cubic meter of water. its as big as a four-sized huairou reservoir! and now, in my daily life, in my family, we always think about protecting the environment and saving the resource whenever we doing what. the batteries, the aged newspapers, the empty glass bottles and all the recyclable garbage, we will classify them then put them in different trash cans; we make the most use of the nature light and shut off the electrical light conveniently; and when we shopping, we will bring a nylon bag with us instead of plastic bags; during the feast, i do not send any card in order to protect the forest resource; after washing the clothes, we wont dump the used water but use it to flash the toilet… all in all, we should start from every little thing around us to truly realize the "green olympic".

綠色奧運是北京2024年奧運會的三大理念之一。為此北京市政府無論是在環(huán)境的治理、綠化的建設(shè)、生態(tài)的保護、循環(huán)經(jīng)濟和水資源的保護與利用，都做了大量的工作。但實現(xiàn)"綠色奧運"僅僅靠政府行為是遠遠不夠的，作為北京的中學(xué)生更應(yīng)該積極的投身到"綠色奧運"的建設(shè)與宣傳當中去。從我做起，從我的家庭做起，從我身邊的朋友、同學(xué)做起。

2001年，當前國際奧委會主席薩馬蘭奇在莫斯科高聲宣讀："beijing， china"的時候，作為一個北京人，一個中國人，我發(fā)自心底的為我們的祖國，我們的首都感到高興。但在高興之余，那灰蒙蒙的天空，那漫天的沙塵暴，那污綠的護城河，那見不到一絲綠色的街道，又使我深為北京能否在2024年成功辦好奧運而感到擔心。

四年之后的今天，一年之中有了229天湛藍的天空，那滾滾的黃塵也早已不見，那一群群久違的野鴨也在春天飛回了北京的什剎海，街道也被綠色裝點的生機勃勃。這一切不知不覺的變化都在回答著我，北京一定能辦好2024年的奧運！而所有這些變化不僅僅是北京市政府的努力，更是在政府領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下的無數(shù)北京市民們努力的結(jié)果。作為這一千多萬普通北京市民的一員，我也在為我們的綠色奧運貢獻出自己的一份力量。

以前我曾有個習慣，每天早晚沖澡兩次，而且沖洗時間特別長，很浪費水。一天，我在北京日報上看到了一則關(guān)于北京水資源短缺的文章，說北京市每年用水量大概是37億立方米，而密云水庫的蓄水量僅有7.7億立方米，官廳水庫的蓄水量僅有1.9億立方米，水資源的供需矛盾十分尖銳?？吹竭@則報道后，我開始改變我的習慣，每天只洗一次澡，盡量在很短的時間內(nèi)洗完。我算了一筆帳，每人每月洗澡節(jié)約一噸水，北京市1400萬人口將節(jié)約1400萬噸水。據(jù)北京市水利局2003年統(tǒng)計數(shù)字表明，從2001年申辦奧運成功后，開始實施市政府制定的26項節(jié)水措施，3年來節(jié)水達到4.37億立方米，相當于4個懷柔水庫?，F(xiàn)在，在我的生活中，在我的家庭里，環(huán)保、節(jié)約的思想和行為時常都有體現(xiàn)。電池、報紙、玻璃瓶、油壺等可回收物，我們是分別處理、存放；購物、買菜的口袋使用尼龍口袋，基本不使用塑料袋；洗衣的水重復(fù)使用于沖洗馬桶……而實現(xiàn)綠色奧運也正是應(yīng)該從身邊的這些小事做起。 我們清楚的記得在2004年的雅典奧運會上，當劉翔登上領(lǐng)獎臺時，他頭上戴了一個由橄欖枝編成的頭環(huán)。這綠色的橄欖枝不正是代表著"綠色奧運"嗎？橄欖枝象征著和平，而奧運正是傳遞"和平"的載體，我們不能簡單的理解"沒有戰(zhàn)爭就是和平"。"人與自然和諧相處"也是"和平"最本質(zhì)的含義。"節(jié)約資源、保護環(huán)境"這種追求"人與自然和諧相處"的具體行為正是奧林匹克精神的具體體現(xiàn)。所以我們說：和平是奧運的靈魂，奧運是和平的載體，綠色奧運是我們從更高的境界在追求和平。當偉大的精神被"平凡"廣泛的具體化以后，這種精神就被弘揚和光大了。

看來"綠色奧運"應(yīng)該從點滴做起，從我做起，從我周邊的人做起。弘揚奧林匹克精神，宣傳綠色奧運理念，讓2024北京奧運真正做到"綠色奧運"。這正是每一個愛好和平、追求和平人們的義不容辭的責任。也是我們北京中學(xué)生的一種思想境界和追求。

"roots and shoots" is a program about environment and humanitarianism education opened to the youth of all over the world sponsored by jane goodall"s research committee. to welcome the 2008 olympics, our group organized lots of activities on environment protection. in this april, we took part in an activity named "cartridges for dragon recycling", which is jointly sponsored by "roots and shoots", "friends of nature" and hp company. the retrieve plan of consume materials aims to decrease the impact of rubbish bury by means of filling or covering to environment by providing simple and environmental protected method to the customers for used printing ink bo_es retrieve.just like doctor jane goodall said:" every individual matters; every individual has role to play; every individual makes a difference. i"ll try my best to promote this concept to people around me. i believe that every one of us should start at some trivial matters around us and act from oneself to protect our environment, returning the clear sky and green water to beijing. i"m confident when foreign friends come to beijing for olympics in 2008, they will heartily praise:" beijing is so beautiful!"

我很自豪，因為我生活在中國的首都--北京。北京申辦下了2008年的奧運會，每一個中國人都激動不已。到2008年，世界各地的運動員都要來到中國北京，北京會是什么樣子呢？讓我來描繪一下吧：北京的環(huán)境將會有很大的改善，道路兩旁種滿了綠樹，隔離帶上開滿了鮮花，鳥兒飛翔在藍藍的天空上，魚兒暢游在清清的河水中。景色將會美不勝收。

綠色奧運是我們承辦的奧運會的主題之一。如今，環(huán)境問題已經(jīng)愈發(fā)嚴峻，保護環(huán)境刻不容緩。我們每一個人都應(yīng)為此貢獻出自己的一份力量。

我是文匯中學(xué)"根與芽"小組的一名成員。"根與芽"是珍妮·古道爾研究會面向全球青年關(guān)于環(huán)境與人道主義教育的項目。為了迎接奧運，我們"根與芽"小組組織了很多有關(guān)保護環(huán)境的活動。就在4月份，我們參加了一個"循環(huán)巨龍：耗材回收"的活動。這個活動是由地球村、根與芽、自然之友和惠普公司聯(lián)手打造的。耗材回收計劃是為了減少堆填和掩埋垃圾對環(huán)境帶來的影響，為用戶提供簡單并環(huán)保的方法回收用過的打印機墨盒及墨粉盒。

, let"s begin to act! first, start with the things around you. don"t throw rubbish onto the road. don"t talk loudly when you are outdoors. turn off the water tap after using it. go to school by bike or by bus instead of by private car. save your pocket money and contribute to environmental protection organizations. take me as an e_ample, i take action in order to make our only world full of happiness. i pick up rubbish and throw it into a trashcan. i collect waste paper or bottles for recycling. i plant more trees and flowers, and so on. if you do all these things just like me, it means you have done something useful to improve the environment. we"re grateful, because the emblem of the beijing 2024 olympic games is a precious treasure dedicated to the olympic movement by the people of china. under the guidance of the olympic spirit, let us do a better job in all fields of our preparation and venue construction work in an efficient way. we will combine the olympic movement with the latest technology and advanced culture to make the beijing games the best olympic games ever! welcome to beijing! thank you.

你可曾見到過動物哭泣？你可曾知道它們?yōu)槭裁纯奁?？正是因為我們不負責任的行為，讓世界變得骯臟，讓這些可愛的動物們哭泣不止。我們清楚的知道，如果沒有了動物和植物，我們的世界將會變得多么死寂，多么灰暗但是有些人仍然固執(zhí)的犯著同樣的錯誤??破壞環(huán)境，執(zhí)迷不悟！

更糟糕的是，人們熱衷于品嘗野生動物。食用野生動物的人不知道，更不會想知道，正是這種行為導(dǎo)致了很多特殊問題的出現(xiàn)。例如：醫(yī)學(xué)家已經(jīng)證實，舉世矚目的sars疾病，正是由于食用野生動物傳播的。

如今，我們的世界已經(jīng)不再整潔，不再美麗。為什么呢？ 因為空氣，水和噪聲等污染已經(jīng)變得越來越嚴重了。噪聲污染讓我們的脾氣變得極易暴躁；水污染讓河流和湖泊不再清澈，大氣污染讓天空變得不再蔚藍。環(huán)境污染，無處不在！

無疑，清潔我們的環(huán)境勢在必行。然而可悲的是，許多人不能時刻領(lǐng)悟到保護環(huán)境的重要性。在街道上，你可以目睹汽車尾氣四處彌漫；在洗手間，你可以目睹有人用后卻不及時關(guān)閉水龍頭；甚至是在環(huán)境優(yōu)美的公園，有人隨意的丟棄垃圾，但他們從來沒有意識到這種行為是錯的。

it′s said that the green olympics are a dream that can′t come true .look at the circumstance around us . no .i believe the circumstance can be created by ourselves .the dream of the green olympics will do come true by our efforts . the green olympics are not a dream any more .

有人說，綠色奧運是我們的夢想，不會成為現(xiàn)實。瞧我們周圍的環(huán)境。不， 我相信，環(huán)境是我們大家共同營造的，經(jīng)過我們的努力，夢想會成為現(xiàn)實，綠色奧運不是夢我們每個人都有許多美好的夢想，生活在環(huán)境優(yōu)美的世界是我們共同的心愿。一九九三年九月二十三日，那是一個讓全中國人遺憾、難忘的日子，北京申辦2000年奧運會，因為環(huán)境問題以兩票之差落選。從此通過我們的努力，我們改善了環(huán)境，我們終于成功的申辦了2008年奧運會。奧運向我們走來，我們應(yīng)該從一點一滴小事做起，創(chuàng)造美好環(huán)境，真正實現(xiàn)綠色奧運。朋友們，我們應(yīng)該如何去實現(xiàn)我們的綠色奧運呢？

water is the source of life; electricity is the necessity of our living .each lawn can cheer up our heart and soul .every animal is a creature in the nature . are you sure that you save a drip of water in your daily life ? it is reported that the water resource per capita in beijing is less than 300 cube meters, representing one eighth of the per capita level of china and one thirtieth of the world per capita level. even worse, the underground water in some regions is absolutely undrinkable. water pollution and water shortage have hindered beijing"s development seriously. the saying of "don"t make the last drop water be human"s own tear" is by no means a deliberately e_aggeration so as to create a sensation. if i was an environment protection worker, i would enact the law of environment protect strictly and check the pollution with all my perseverance. if i was a sewage treatment engineer, i would develop the most advanced sewage treatment equipment in the world that can be used to filter all the sewage into clean water. a pot of water can be used three or four times in my family . first , i use the fresh water to wash rice and then use it to wash my face .it′s reported that it is a good way to beautify my face . at last ,i use this water which is a kind of good fertilization to irrigate flowers .as a student in dianye middle school,we not only protect the water but also research the vegetation around us. last summer holiday, with the teachers"help,we had a survey about the vegetation in shidu .we found fifty-eight species of plants were near e_tinction. it"s a so large number! we reported it to the government and gave them three kinds of reasonable advices at once. are you sure that you turn off the light when it is unnecessary whether you are at school 、 at factory or at home ? when you want to spit in public places , do you think of the sars in 2003 ? when you walk in the park and see the colorful flowers , do you pick them off and arrogate to yourself ? when you walk through the school porch , do you draw everywhere ? when you walk into restaurants and see all kinds of creatures become so-called delicious dishes of human beings, does the dreadful scene make your heart and soul tremble? after all, they are all the living things just like our human beings! the comfortable environment around us needs to be created by every one of us!my friends , join us! devote yourself to the protection of our environment . try to make our sky bluer, our ground greener and our water cleaner. the 2008 green olympic will become reality. i"m sure we chinese will be proud of it ! in addition, this is the responsibility of every chinese .thank you ！
